When our clients visit Headwater Ranch, they are not only hunting Black bear. They are experiencing a unique adventure in the heart of Manitoba’s wilds, creating memories to last a lifetime.
Pricing Updates coming in 2026
Starting 2026, due to rising costs, bear hunts will be $2500.00 USD per tag and $1000.00 USD non refundable deposit will be required prior to booking confirmation.
Deer hunts will be $2000.00 USD per tag with $750.00 USD deposit prior to booking confirmation.
Headwater Ranch Outfitters provides the following:
- Bear license
- Ladder stands or box blinds
- Fully guided
- VHF Radio communications
- First rate cabin complete with full kitchen, living room and dining room
- Satellite TV
- Cleaning person on Wednesday upon request
- Headwater Ranch guides will take the hunters to the stand in late afternoon. Guides will pick up hunters around dark as per hunting regulations, or when hunter wishes to be picked up.
- Hunters are provided with two way radios. We have base radios in the guides trucks and at the main base. So we are never too far away.
- For rifle hunters we will take them to a target range to sight in their rifles prior to the hunt. Just to make sure nothing got bumped around during travel.
- For hunters flying out we will pick you up at the Winnipeg airport.
The hunter ‘s responsiblity:
- Hunter education number/card for all hunts
- Own food and cook
- Coolers for meat/hide to transport home
- Meat storage materials e.g. bags, paper, tape
- Mosquito headnet & thin gloves
- Seat cushions for stand
- Safety harness
- Weapon of choice (bow, muzzle, rifle, crossbow)
- Fixed blade arrows only for archery
Headwater Ranch guides will skin and quarter your trophy and keep it frozen until your departure.
Headwater Ranch provides a five day hunt from Monday to Friday. Hunter may arrive on Sunday and depart on Saturday.
Outfitter not responsible for accidents in field or camp.
Questions or concerns should be directed to the outfitter.
Outfitter can change dates in unusual circumstances e.g. Division of Wildlife season changes or modifications.
Our guides work as a team to provide enjoyable and timely service. Tips are mandatory and should be paid to the outfitter for distribution to the guides.
Client will adhere to the Division of Wildlife and any specific regulations as set out by the outfitter.
We do our best to provide a successful hunt. You do your best for a successful kill.
